Financial Manager - South Cambs£45,000 p.a.
Permanent - 37.5-hour week
An opportunity like this is rare but is available now due to retirement. A small manufacturing company on the outskirts of Cambridge that supplies the television industry. It's a varied position as you would expect in a small company so every day is different. As Financial Manager the position combines taking ownership of the financial systems as well as being prepared to process transactions and communicate with customers and suppliers. There will also be planning, and reporting together with some HR procedures and records with the management of 2 sales administration staff. It's a 37.5-hour week with core hours being 9.30 am to 4 pm, so flexibility on 30 or 60 minutes lunch and start/finish time.
Main Duties for the Financial Manager:
- Make sure that efficient sales order processing is maintained so that customers are always informed of order status.
- Creation of Management Information
- Manage sales administration staff
- Control of cash within the business by creating forecasts and procedures
- Management of computer accounts system
- Payment of staff salaries
- Organisation of pensions, and salary-sacrifice
- Work with company accountants to create end-of-year and tax accounts
- Maintenance of holiday and sickness records and entitlement
- Management of company facility
Financial Manager Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting ledgers with the ability to produce management information.
- Familiar with modern accounting software
- Supervisory/Management experience
- Knowledge/use of payroll software
- Ability to be able to develop Excel spreadsheets (useful)
- HR Admin. (useful)
- Previous experience accounting in a manufacturing environment (useful)
