Our client offers major organisations in the UK leading-edge technology solutions. They are currently seeking a full-time Installation Engineer to cover their extensive range of products that are in the field, predominantly in the retail environment. This role involves extensive driving and working away from home, so would need to be comfortable with a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. It's a challenging role and good for someone who likes variation and problem-solving. A background in telecoms, ariels, satellite, or construction and holding a CSCS or IPAF certified it could be the role for you. Working the night shift for a well-known Tier 1 retailer and a well-established company. Installation Engineer duties
- Working on cabling
- Hardware installation of equipment
- Working on various projects
- Full product and H & S training will be given
- IP configuration of equipment
- Working with the clients so
- Extensive driving to sites
- Using Excel spreadsheets
Skills and Experience
- Ideally, come from a similar background or have experience with telecoms/ariel/satellite/constriction
- CSCS and IPAF Certified
- Ability to adhere to timescales
- Professional work ethic with excellent customer care and communication skills
- Hold a full clean driving license
- Experience in data cabling, containment including CAT 5 and/or CAT6 cable experience
- Experience installing equipment in a retail environment would be an advantage (with IP configuration which is sometimes required).
- Competent in using Excel spreadsheets
- Willingness to learn new skills and work well under pressure.
