Procurement Administrator - Permanent - Spanish Speaking

Luton - £23-25K

Mon-Fri 40-hour week

Main Objective

This is an amazing opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to work in an established and successful company and a fast-paced environment within the food industry. You will report to the Head of Procurement and support the Procurement department in purchasing products. It is essential you can speak and write fluently in Spanish as you will be liaising with South American countries.  The Procurement Administrator will support the Procurement team in managing daily procurement and quality assurance functions and activities. The company holds events and exhibitions, which you may be required to attend with possible overnight stays so you need to be flexible on hours. 

 

Main Duties

The Procurement Administrator supports the Procurement Department in the purchasing of fruit from the company suppliers and will have the following areas of responsibility:

  • Respond to correspondence from suppliers in a timely manner (Spanish and English).
  • Update internal database/registers with purchase Order details including dates, suppliers, quantities, etc.
  • Produce monthly and weekly reports.
  • Provide support to the procurement team.
  • Keep all filing up to date and maintain a high level of organisation.
  • Liaise with purchasing (PPE, Stationary) and other purchases.
  • Provide data and documents for audits as required.
  • You may be required to attend company events and exhibitions, outside of normal working hours and possible overnight stays. 

 

Experience/Knowledge

  • Fluency in writing reading, and speaking Spanish language. Essential
  • Demonstrable experience in working with and influencing people at all levels.
  • The Procurement Administrator should be results-driven and be able to challenge positively to achieve mutually beneficial results. 
  • Confident communicator and a professional telephone manner. 
  • Extensive systems experience within an ERP environment and knowledge of MS Office.
  • A team player who is efficient, well-organized, and willing to help.
