Project Manager - Retail Implementation

Full-time - 6 Month FTC £50K pro rata + benefits

Milton Keynes Area - Home Work

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the retail sector. This role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract for a Project Manager, where there is every chance it will be extended and continue for years. Based around the Milton Keynes area and working from home, means you should live within a 40-50 minute commute of Milton Keynes where you will have a weekly meeting. There will be travel involved in going to the site, meeting the clients, and building good relationships. Assisting the installation team and advising to ensure the project is implemented in a timely manner and according to specifications.  Ideally, you should have worked in a retail environment and have previous experience in a Project Manager role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all new installation projects and changes to existing projects are managed and delivered on time and at optimum cost.
  • Planning to ensure projects make the most effective use of available resources.
  • Facilitate project meetings effectively. Communicate with team members, other contractors, and customers to ensure the achievement of the project plan.
  • To provide advice and guidance to the site constriction team on the management of systems during the construction works.
  • Create and maintain project plans and communicate to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and costs of the project plan.
  • Identify anticipated or actual overspends and seek agreement with the customer.
  • As Project Manager, you will assist the main contractor with planning and scheduling to ensure the customer is not put at commercial or operational risk.
  • Follow the change Management systems, notifying all necessary change controls within the required timescales. 
  • Ensure all requirements under health & safety legislation are actively adhered to.
  • Support of other departments within the company.
  • Liaising directly with the retail outlet.

Skills & Experience

  • 1-year project manager experience (preferably in a retail environment)
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel
  • Leadership & organisational skills
  • Excellent communication
