Our client has a vacancy for an Aesthetic Practitioner who is an NMC registered nurse who has a genuine interest in medical aesthetics and plastic surgery. This could be the next step in your career where you would be working with and assisting an award-winning and one of the top cosmetic surgeons in the UK. They have just moved to a new CQC-approved clinic in Sawston, where you will enjoy free parking and a fantastic working environment.
This is a truly great opportunity for a Nurse with a keen interest in plastic surgery/Aesthetics and who has a background in outpatient nursing. This will be a rewarding but challenging role, so should be able to deal with all aspects of this role. You need to be comfortable with attending whilst procedures are being carried out, be fully aware of best Health & Hygiene practices, and have a compassionate and supportive nature. Excellent training scheme to develop knowledge and practices within the cosmetics and aesthetics industry. There could be some weekend work depending on the needs of the patient, but they will be booked in advance.
Core duties include:
- Meeting and greeting and offering refreshments
- General administrative duties
- Supporting clients through their time at the Practice both from an administrative and client management perspective plus supporting clients whilst undergoing their procedures and in the delivery of aftercare.
- Assisting the Clinic Director during some surgical procedures (Training Given)
- Maintaining a clean and sterile environment following procedures
- Monitor and order stock
- Post-operative dressing changes
- Follow-up calls to see how the patient is progressing.
- Ensuring client records are maintained electronically - keeping comprehensive medical notes including photography of patients at consultation.
- Providing care to perioperative patients who have undergone day surgery.
